Bad weather got you down? Unfortunately, today's Public Health Mobile Unit Clinics are canceled, but here's what you need to know.
Due to inclement weather, the following clinics will be closed today:
- Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre, 6 Main St., Springhill
- Maple Creek Centre, 5169 Nova Scotia Trunk 10, New Germany
- Port Hood Fire Hall, 304 Main St., Port Hood
But that's not all! There's a little bit more to the story. Routine IT maintenance is scheduled for Wednesday, January 21st, causing service interruptions from midnight to 6:00 am. This will impact the YourHealthNS app and online appointment booking. This includes services like COVID-19 testing, blood collection, X-Ray, EKG, and the Need a Family Practice Registry. We know this can be frustrating, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Public Health is committed to ensuring access to immunizations and testing throughout the province. Don't worry, more clinics are planned in the coming weeks. You can find the schedule online at the Nova Scotia Health Authority website.
And this is the part most people miss... While bad weather is the main culprit today, the IT maintenance is a separate issue. Do you think it's fair that important services are interrupted for maintenance? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
